Paris, France.- Cuban Council of Ministers vice president Ricardo Cabrisas met in Paris with French Minister of Public Action and Accounts, Gerald Darmanin, diplomatic sources informed on Wednesday.

According to a communique, both sides ratified the will and interest of the respective governments to continue the positive bilateral relations.

They also confirmed the willingness to deepen ties, particularly in trade, investment and cooperation sectors.

The meeting took place as part of the visit to France of the Cuban vice president, which started on Monday and continues until Wednesday.

Cabrisas met on Tuesday with the Chief Executive Officer of the French Banking Federation Marie Anne Barbat Layani, with whom she exchanged about the relations between French and Cuban financial institutions.

During the visit to France, Cabrisas presides over a delegation made up of Cuban ambassador to France Elio Rodriguez, Deputy Minister of Foreign Trade and Investment Ileana Nuñez, Deputy Minister of Finance and Prices Felix Martinez; and Central Bank Vice- President Arnaldo Alayon.

Also on the list are Vice Chief of the National Statistics and Information Office Mercedes Gonzalez; General Director of the Foreign Ministry’s Bilateral Affairs Department, Emilio Lozada, and Assistant Director of Commercial Policy with Europe of the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment, Nelida Guerra.
