HAVANA, Cuba.- The President of Cuba, Miguel Diaz-Canel, highlighted this Friday the importance of defending the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, in order to achieve the united America desired by Simon Bolivar, Jose Marti, Fidel Castro and Hugo Chavez.

When defending Venezuela we defend the America that Bolivar desired, which Marti, Fidel, Chavez and other Latin American heroes defended and Nicolas Maduro defends today, the head of the Cuban State wrote in his Twitter account.

The message relates to aggression against the South American nation, where they wanted to impose, through a coup d’état, a government in the service of the United States that does not want to recognize the constitutional President Nicolas Maduro.

The President strongly condemned such actions, and ratified the invariably solidarity of the island with the Government of Maduro, because Venezuela has the right to self-govern in a free and independent way.
