bruno-rodriguez-cancillerAthens, Greece.-Cuban Foreign Affairs Minister Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla, departed from here back to Cuba today after an official visit to Greece, a country in which he finished a tour of three European nations.

During his stay in Athens, a place in which he had arrived early Friday morning, Rodriguez Parrilla was received by Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras, and Greek Parliament president Nikos Voutsis.

Rodrigues also had official talks with Foreign Affairs Minister Nikos Kostias,and visited the Greek Communist Party’s (KKE) Central Committee, and talked to secretary general Dimitris Koutsoumpas.

After starting his European tour in Spain on April 17, Rodriguez was received in Madrid by King Philip VI, President Mariano Rajoy and Foreign Minister Alfonso Dastis.

He also had meetings with high representatives of the Spanish political forces, such as the Communist Party, the Spanish Socialist Workers Party (PSOE in Spanish) and Izquierda Unida.

The tour continued in Portugal, where Rodriguez was received by President Marcleo Rebelo de Souza on April 20, and had meetings with other important Portuguese officials.

Rodriguez was accompanied by officials Elio Rodriguez Perdomo, director for Europe and Canada in the Cuban Foreign Ministry, and Barbara Elena Montalvo.

The Cuban Ambassadors in Spain, Portugal and Greece, Eugenio Martínez Enriquez, Johana Tablada and Zelmys María Rodríguez Cortina, were also part of the delegation.
