Havana, Cuba.-Cuba will present today its annual report on the damages caused by the economic, commercial and financial blockade set by the United States for more than 50 years, said the Cuban Foreign Ministry.

In a statement posted on its website, the Foreign Ministry said that Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez will present the document to the national and foreign press accredited in Havana.

This is the Report made by Cuba on the Resolution 70/5 of the United Nations General Assembly called ‘Necessity of ending the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States of America against Cuba’.

The UN General Assembly will discuss for the 25th time the nonbinding project, which has been given an overwhelming support by almost all of its country members, something that represents an unequivocal condemnation of a policy described by the international community as outdated, hostile and unjust.

The report presented last year indicated that human and economic damage caused by the US blockade against Cuba was valued at more than 833.7 billion USD, according to conservative estimates and taking into account the depreciation of USD compared to the price of gold in the world market.
