Angolan First Lady speaks on gender equality at UN meeting.

NEW YORK, USA. – The First Lady of Angola, Ana Dias de Lourenzo, will be the keynote speaker at the second meeting of the group of leaders on gender equality, at the United Nations (UN) in New York.

The participation follows an invitation from the chairperson of the 73rd session of the UN General Assembly, Ecuadorian Maria Fernanda Espinosa, the headquarters of the international organization announced.

Dias de Lourenzo will speak in the panel on gender equality and inclusive societies, in the field of the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals, set by the multilateral body until 2030.

Last January, the First Lady of Angola raised at the UN the willingness of her country to share its vision and good practices for gender equality, quality education for all and empowerment of women.
