MEXICO CITY, Mexico.- A strong explosion of Mexican colossus Popocatepetl with earth movement keeps the state of alert this Wednesday in several nearby populations, according to statements by Fernando Manzanilla, Secretary General of Government.

The latest report of the General Coordination of State Civil Protection and the National Center for Disaster Prevention indicated that the volcano remains active with a pillar of smoke more than one kilometer high.

Mexican authorities warned the ash column spread on the northeast of Puebla so it is necessary to take precautions, and in this respect, they announced that the Government is prepared with all the security protocols.

The strong burst of explosion generated an alert in several nearby populations, where the fear was evident by the sound and the incandescent material on the mouth of the volcano.
