Havana, Cuba.- The integration of science, technology and innovation in Latin America and the Caribbean will be the center of debates in Cuba of the Health Commission of the Latin American and Caribbean Parliament (Parlatino), reported today in this capital.

According to a note from the National Assembly of the Cuban Popular Power, the session will take place today at the institutional headquarters of the island’s legislative branch.

Within the central theme Parlatino deputies will emphasize biotechnological research in health.

The main presentation will be in charge of the doctor of sciences Rolando Pérez, academician of merit of Cuba Science Academy (ACC).

The meeting will be chaired by Cuban deputy Luis Velázquez, president of the Health Commission of Parlatino.

Participants in the meeting will also visit the ACC and there they will learn about their role in scientific integration on the island.
