Mexico City, Mexico.-The Universities of Quintana Roo (UQROO) and Havana (UH) have signed an agreement to strengthen the curriculum of the Master´s of Applied Anthropology.

This accord was signed between the Faculty of Foreign Languages of the University of Havana and the Academic Body of Anthropological Studies of the Circum-Caribe University of Quintana Roo.

The purpose is to contribute to the creation of the Diploma in Caribbean Studies, to strengthen the international mobility of students and academicians, as well as to establish a permanent link between UQROO with one of the most important Universities in Latin America and the Caribbean.

UH and UQEOO Rectors, Gustavo Cobreiro and Angel Rivero, respectively, signed the agreement in Havana, according to Rivero who gave the lecture ‘The Mexican Caribbean: An analysis of the attracting destination and strategy to compete globally while preserving sustainability. ‘

Rivero said that,in line with the lecture, UQEOO’s membership in the Department of Caribbean Studies at the University of Havana was opened, allowing them to establish collaboration networks for multidisciplinary research studies closely related to Caribbean Basin nations.
