Diaz-Canel received King and Queen of Spain

HAVANA, Cuba.- The President of the Republic, Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez, received today King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia Ortiz at the Palace of the Revolution, who arrived in Cuba on Monday on an official visit.

After the welcome ceremony and the official conversations, Diaz-Canel and the King witnessed the signing of the agreement for the country association framework Cuba-Spain 2019-2022, on international cooperation for development.

The rubric was carried out by the Chancellor of Cuba, Bruno Rodriguez, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation of Spain, Josep Borrell Fontelles.

Their Majesties also paid tribute today to Cuban National Hero Jose Marti, with the placement of a floral offering in front of the Monument erected to him. At the time they were accompanied by Cuban Vice-Chancellor Anayansi Rodriguez.
