Vienna, Austria.- An exchange of information and debate on the current situation in his country was held today by Cuban MP Luis Morlote with members of the Austrian-Cuban Friendship Association (Ã-KG), as part of their visit here.

The president of the Parliamentary Friendship Group with the Member Countries of the European Union made a presentation on the most current issues in Cuba, with emphasis on the process of consultations with the entire population on the draft new Constitution.

He reviewed the national and international context in which the process is developed, highlighted the fundamental changes that are introduced in the proposal and answered multiple questions from participants.

He emphasized the ratification of the socialist character of the Cuban system and the preservation of the social achievements of the Cuban Revolution as the universal rights to education, health, sports, sciences and others.

Morlote, also vice president of the Commission on Education, Culture, Science, Technology and Environment of the National Assembly of People’s Power, thanked the attendees for their participation, commitment and interest in keeping informed and understand the Cuban reality to defend the Revolution.

The meeting was attended by the ambassador of Cuba in Austria, Juan Antonio Fernández; the Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment of Cuba, Fidel Santana; the general secretary of the Ã-KG, Hermann Pernestorfer; and the president of ‘Cuba Va’ Alaen Cisneros, among other guests.
