Santa Clara, Cuba.- Cuban personalities and artists pay homage this Sunday to the city of Santa Clara, located in the central area of Cuba, on occasion of commemorating tomorrow, July 15, 330 years of its foundation.

An intense program to host the anniversary, date when families from the municipality of Remedios came to these lands in 1689 with the purpose of founding the Village. Ahead of the event, the National Choir of Cuba, led by master Digna Guerra, will carry out a special performance in the House of Culture of Santa Clara, capital of Villa Clara province.

Choirs such as Camara Imago and Claves, both from the province of Sancti Spiritus, will also perform in the Caturla hall with groups from Matanzas and Cienfuegos and other representatives of choral music in Villa Clara.

The book Santa Clara Nuestra (Our Santa Clara), by Ovidio Cosme Diaz, was also presented, together with exhibitions of drawings by painter Susana Trueba and a personal exhibition, Santa Clara: Living, Dancing (Santa Clara: vivir, bailar), by photographer Gabriel Davalos.

In the Park of the Arcades, next to the Boulevard, a colorful edition of the humorous Melaito supplement and a special edition of the Guamo magazine, dedicated to the 330th anniversary of the city, were presented.

The catwalks of the 12th Exuberarte Artisan Fashion Festival 2019 were also inaugurated in front of the Juan Marinello House of Culture of Santa Clara.
