VITEBSK, Belarus.- Young Cuban singer Rebeca Embil emerges as a favorite to win the world competition of novice pop performers at the Slavianski Bazaar International Festival of Arts in Vitebsk, Belarus.

Another Latin American, Mexican Dafne Celada, did not pass to the poster of the night of awards for this Tuesday, but she was very applauded by those attending the bazaar of musical, theatrical and dancing arts.

Cuban Roberto Kel was not considered by the jury to go on stage on the last day of the event, despite his endorsement of winner of the Novaya Valna Slavic contest five years ago, according to Alberto Loreydis, coordinator for Latin America and the Caribbean of the Arts Festivals.

Kel was invited to participate in the concert called Chanson TV – All Stars to be held in Vitebsk in mid-week with the participation of Russian pop stars.
