Havana, Cuba.- The 13th edition of International Biennial in Havana completes its days on Sunday, where creators from 52 countries over a month turned into art public spaces in Havana and other provinces.

Under the title, ´The construction of the Possible´ and dedicated to celebrate Havana´s 500 year-founding anniversary, the event included 12 large collective projects; besides, plenty of individual creations in public galleries and private centers; as well as collateral exhibitions that reinforce its inclusive character.

Wilfredo Lam Contemporary Art Center, Pabellon Cuba, Casa de las Americas, Fine Art, Photo Library, several sites belonging to the Office of the Historian of Havana and about six kilometers of two main streets in this city: Linea and Malecon were among the host intitutions.

Artists from Argentina, Panama, Spain, Uruguay, Colombia and Portugal talked about practices in artistic-cultural constructions, modern postulates, the people´s incidence among many other issues.

The Biennial is the most transcending international event of visual arts held in and since its creation in 1984, it attracts important contemporary artists to Cuba around proposals for socio-cultural values.

Thirty-five years ago, the event was held for a Latin American vocation but soon it grew, broadened its gaze to the entire world and to this day gathers creators from five continents in Havana.
