Bruno Rodriguez thanked the support to Cuba in the face of the escalation of U.S. hostility.

HAVANA, Cuba.- Cuban Chancellor Bruno Rodriguez acknowledged this Monday the solidarity of countries that raise their voices to demand an end to the American blockade of the island and reject the Helms-Burton Act.

Rodriguez appreciated the positions of support for the Caribbean nation in the face of the upsurge of hostility in Washington politics, especially the blockade imposed for nearly 60 years.

Friends of Cuba from different latitudes of the world raise their voices to demand an end to the blockade and reject the Helms-Burton Act; our sincere gratitude for these multiple expressions of solidarity with the island, the head of the Cuban diplomacy wrote on his Twitter account.

Days ago, President Miguel Diaz-Canel said that the recent visit to Cuba by Neven Mimica, Commissioner for International Cooperation and Development of the European Commission reaffirmed that many European countries oppose the Helms-Burton Act.
