HAVANA, Cuba.- The President of Cuba, Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez, said this Friday that the island is standing for the new Constitution in the referendum on February 24 and for its support to Venezuela.

Our voices for the present and the future of Cuba and Latin America, Diaz-Canel wrote in his Twitter account, which has almost 98 thousand followers.

The Cuban President reiterated Cuba´s claim of Hands off Venezuela, in the face of the threats of military intervention by the United States.

Diaz-Canel also highlighted that on next Sunday 24 millions of people in Cuba will vote for the fate of the Constitution, which arose from a consultation process with the participation of almost nine million persons and more than 700 thousand proposals.
