HAVANA, Cuba.- The President of the Republic of Cuba, Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez, warned today that with the aggressive escalation of imperialism we are also face an ideological and cultural battle, where they try to destroy the identity of our peoples.

At a meeting of the Sao Paulo Forum Working Group, which takes place at the Havana Convention Palace, he highlighted we are facing a colonizing strategy, from culture and essences.

Against this background, Diaz-Canel called to articulate the struggle for the unity of left-wing forces in the region, and to defend Latin America and the Caribbean as a Peace Zone.

This meeting gives continuity and ratifies the postulates defended by these days at the Anti-Imperialist Meeting of Solidarity, for Democracy and against Neoliberalism.
