Havana, Cuba.- The Deputy President of Vietnam, Dang Thin Ngoc Thinh, reviewed Tuesday in the western province of Pinar del Rio a joint project between that territory and Vietnam to improve agricultural production.

The representative of the Vietnamese government, who has been making an official visit to Cuba since Sunday, congratulated the Cuban side on the results of the project, the national TV reported.

According to the information, the fifth stage of the plan will extend until 2023.

The Deputy Minister of Agriculture of Cuba, Maury Hechevarria, thanked Vietnam for its support to Cuban producers to achieve the sustainability of the rice program through training and equipment.

Since her arrival in Havana, Dang Thin Ngoc Thinh has carried out an extensive program of activities including meetings with high-ranking Cuban officials and visits to places of historical, cultural and economic interest.
