HAVANA, Cuba.- To Fidel Castro Ruz´s work and thought and its importance to peoples in the conquest of their sovereignty, is dedicated the third International Symposium The Cuban Revolution: Genesis and Historical Development, to be held in Havana.

The event will take place from October 29 to 31 at the Convention Palace, and will involve approximately 150 specialists, of which 50 representing 21 countries including the United States.

Researches carried out in Cuba related to its history and its influence in Latin America and the Caribbean will also be reported.

The Revolution and Its Challenges

At the International Symposium The Cuban Revolution: Genesis and Historical Development will work on commissions, and a traveling exhibition of posters titled 60 years of Cuban Revolution will also be inaugurated.

On Tuesday 29 some topics related to the legacy of the Commander-in-Chief will be developed, among these Fidel Castro Ruz: The role of ideas in the construction of socialism and Thought and execution in Fidel Castro.

Cuba-U.S. Relations: The Stages of Confrontation in the Trump Age; and From Barack Obama to Donald Trump: continuity and adjustment in U.S. policy toward Cuba, will be discussed on Wednesday 30.

The International Symposium The Cuban Revolution: Genesis and Historical Development, is an opportunity to analyze the evolution of the Cuban revolutionary process, as well as the readjustments and updating of its economic model.
