HAVANA, Cuba.- The Higher Institute of Industrial Design of Havana, ISDI, awarded the President of the Councils of State and Ministers, Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez, the 35th Anniversary Medal of its founding, more than three decades ago.

As it was highlighted at the event at the Convention Palace, the distinction was awarded to Diaz-Canel for the importance that the Cuban President attaches to the design in the current context, and for enhancing the university-science-company link.

The 35th Anniversary Medal of ISDI was received by Miriam Nicado, member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of Cuba and rector of the University of Havana.

The distinction was also granted to Institutions such as the Attorney General’s Office of the Republic, the House of The Americas, and the Office of the Historian of the City of Havana, and the Union of Writers and Artists of Cuba.
