HAVANA, Cuba.- To evaluate important programs in the context of Havana’s 500th anniversary, Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel led a meeting of the government group to support the capital.

At the meeting it was known that part of the Japanese donation of 100 collector trucks for the collection of solid waste is already in the country, and other equipment was distributed to the 15 municipalities of the city, the national television reported.

Most of the homes affected by the tornado last January are repaired, and more than 200 new houses will be finished.

The meeting of the working group of the Cuban capital included in its agenda the work to rescue the so-called Cordon of Havana, which concentrates the agricultural production of the city.
