HAVANA, Cuba.-The President of the Councils of State and of Ministers of Cuba, Army General Raul Castro, sent a greeting and a present to singer-songwriter Vicente Feliu for his birthday 70, local media reported this Sunday.

Feliu also received recognition from Cuban institutions and artists, such as the Noel Nicola Award for the mark of his work in the Ibero-American peoples.

A report by the National Television News Show: said the troubadour was honored by those who accompanied him from his beginnings, such as pianist Frank Fernandez and singer-songwriter Silvio Rodriguez.

The artist was one of the representative voices of the New Trova Movement with Pablo Milanese, Silvio Rodriguez and Noel Nicola, among others.

His discography includes Believe Me (1978), I do not know to stay (1985) and Aurora (1995).
