SHANGHAI, China.-  China described as constructive the 12th round of trade negotiations with the United States, held in Shanghai, after several months suspended.

The two powers took up again their talks to try to solve their differences, and end the trade war they have held for more than a year, following the consensus reached by Presidents Xi Jinping and Donald Trump.

Beijing authorities said the two sides conducted frank, efficient, constructive and in-depth exchanges on the main issues of common interest in the economic and trade fields.

In addition, they discussed China’s increased purchase of U.S. agricultural products, in accordance with its own domestic needs, and the favorable conditions that the US Administration will offer, the statement indicates.
