Lula’s freedom mobilization remains the top priority of Brazil’s Workers’ Party.

BRAZILIA, Brazil.- Following the judicial vote held by the political prison of Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, the Workers’ Party of Brazil claims the fight only ends with the former president free and the sentence annulled.

The Supreme Federal Court voted on Tuesday two habeas corpus proceedings brought by the defense of the former labor leader, which could end his political prison, but it chose to maintain incarceration.

Faced with this fact, the president of the Workers’ Party, Gleisi Hoffman, and the party leader in the Chamber of Deputies, Paulo Pimenta, made it clear that the mobilization for the freedom of the former trade unionist remains the highest priority for militancy.

Pimenta called for intensifying the mobilization and fighting in defense of former President Lula, and against the narrative of those who seek to minimize the allegations presented.
