Havana, Cuba.- Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez said Wednesday that expressions of racism, violence and xenophobia against Latin Americans are worrying after the recent shootings in the U.S. cities of El Paso and Dayton.

This is the result of the outrageous hate speech of the current US government, the head of Foreign Relations tweeted.

Last weekend 22 people – including 19 Latin American women – were killed in a gunfight in El Paso, Texas.

Officials said the assailant wrote a manifesto warning of a ‘Hispanic invasion of Texas.’

The other shooting occurred on Sunday when a man killed nine people in Dayton, Ohio.

Several human rights and immigrant protection organizations blame President Donald Trump for encouraging such acts in the face of his racist and xenophobic rhetoric.

The Republican leader, who is scheduled to visit these cities on Wednesday, also ignores calls to adopt firearms control measures, according to several human rights organizations.
