Cuba, Esuatini boost bilateral relations HAVANA, Cuba.- The President of Cuba, Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez, announced that he will have official talks with King Mswati III, of Esuatini, also known as Swaziland, on an official visit to the island.

On his Twitter account, Diaz-Canel also stated that Mswati III is in the Caribbean nation to boost bilateral relations; according to the planned schedule, the monarch will honor the Cuban National Hero Jose Marti, in the Memorial named after him.

Cuba and Swaziland established diplomatic relations on September 22, 1995, and currently about twenty Cuban health professionals provide solidarity assistance there.

That African nation, of just over a million inhabitants and an area of 17 thousand square kilometers, changed its name to Esuatini in 2018.
