Santiago de Chile, Chile.- Singing the song ”El dia de tu cumpleaños,” written by iconic singer-songwriter Violeta Parra, dozens of Chilean solidarity activists celebrated in Santiago the 93rd anniversary of the birth of the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro.

The fraternal gathering, held at the headquarters of the Alejandro Lipschutz Institute of Science (ICAL) on Wednesday, also featured an exhibition of 60 photographs, with which the Chilean Solidarity with Cuba Movement also paid one of the many tributes that have taken place in Santiago to celebrate 60 years of the revolutionary triumph.

The exhibit reflects recent and past moments of the actions of thousands of Chileans in support of the revolutionary process in Cuba, such as on historical dates and in the struggle to lift the US blockade.

Also exhibited are images of the multiple activities held in Chile and worldwide for the release of the Cuban Five – as Antonio Guerrero, Fernando Gonzalez, Gerardo Hernandez, Ramon Labañino and Rene Gonzalez were internationally known.

But the most special moment of the meeting was the first public screening of the video ‘A Fidel Castro,’ with a version of the famous song ‘Cabalgando con Fidel,’ composed by Cuban trova singer-songwriter Raul Torres on the death of the Cuban leader.
