Chancellor of Cuba meets extensive agenda at UN

UNITED NATIONS, New York. – The Chancellor of Cuba, Bruno Rodriguez, held meetings with his counterparts from Mexico, the Netherlands, Paraguay and Guatemala, as part of his bilateral agenda at the General Assembly of the United Nations.

Bruno Rodríguez is meeting an intense program this week within the high-level segment of the UN General Assembly at its 74th session.

Regarding this meeting at the world agency, the head of the Cuban diplomacy just signed a memorandum of understanding with Malta, and exchanged with the chancellor of Liberia. He also spoke with the Prime Minister of Uganda, a country with which Cuba maintains close cooperation.

Rodriguez also participated in the UN high-level meeting on universal health coverage; as well as at the Sustainable Development Goals Summit, among others, where he denounced the effects of the blockade against the island.
