Havana, Cuba.- Cuban and international institutions on Tuesday announced the extension of the deadline to submit works to the drawing contest on sexuality for adolescents and young people.

Entitled ‘Le Pongo Colores a Mi Edad’ (I Color My Age), the second edition of the contest is organized by the National Sex Education Center (CENESEX), the Ministry of Education (MINED) and the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) Office in Cuba.

The call, which will remain open until September 30, 2019, invites younger generations to think about the changes they are going through at present and to express their experiences, ideas, feelings, fantasies, concerns, doubts and wishes through painting.

Schools, personal lives, families and the main concerns of Cuban girls and boys between 10 and 15 years of age will be expressed in the paintings, which will be evaluated by a jury made up of representatives of MINED, CENESEX and UNFPA.

The contest focuses on a series of questions aimed at revealing concerns and needs related to sexual discovery, relationships with parents, independence, love, friendships and personal discovery.
