HAVANA, Cuba. – The Network of Intellectuals, Artists and Social Movements in Defense of Humanity conveyed a greeting to the people of Venezuela for the democracy lesson it gave in the vote for the Constituent National Assembly.

The message highlights that in the face of the attempt by the national and international right to generate hatred and terror to prevent, through fear, the democratic exercise of voting, the Venezuelans went out to the streets to say No to violence and support the Constituent.

Now, Nicolas Maduro’s followers will have a tool for peace, as a way of deepening participatory democracy and constitutionalize the country’s progress since Commander Hugo Chavez Frias, the statement adds.

The document adds, a special mention deserve the obscene imperial interference and the amplification, incitement and legitimation of violence made by the transnationals media.
